This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week (12thβ18th May) β an opportunity to reflect on how we care for our mental health, and, importantly, how we nurture the communities we live, work, and grow in.
This yearβs theme is βCommunityβ, and at Shali Wellbeing CIC, this feels especially close to our hearts π. As a community interest company, our mission has always been to create inclusive spaces where people can experience the benefits of meditation π§ββοΈ, Tai Chi ποΈ, and holistic wellbeing πΈ β together.
We are also delighted to share that, thanks to the generous support of Alcester Town Council through a Community Grant π, we will soon be able to offer community groups meditation courses π§, providing local people with an accessible way to support their mental wellbeing, find calm, and connect with others π€.
Alongside this, Ali is already running Tai Chi classes ποΈ within the community, which are steadily gaining momentum and bringing people together to experience the many benefits of gentle movement and mindful connection.
β¨ Community is more than just where we live; it’s how we feel when we are part of something that matters, when we feel connected, included, and supported. β¨
In our work with local groups, schools, and workplaces π«, we see how powerful it is when people come together to support each otherβs mental wellbeing π¬. Whether through Tai Chi, meditation, or simply pausing together for a mindful moment π , these shared experiences remind us that we are not alone β and that together, we are stronger πͺ.
This Mental Health Awareness Week, we invite you to reflect:
π Where do you feel most connected?
π Who in your community might need a little extra support?
π How can we create spaces where everyone feels they belong?
At Shali Wellbeing, we are committed to continuing to build accessible and inclusive wellbeing opportunities πΏ for our community.
If you are part of a group, organisation, or community who would benefit from meditation π§ββοΈ or Tai Chi ποΈ sessions, we would love to hear from you π©.
Together, we can keep building communities where mental health and wellbeing are supported every day, not just during this week πΌ.
Letβs make wellbeing a shared journey π.#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
