This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week (12th–18th May) β€” an opportunity to reflect on how we care for our mental health, and, importantly, how we nurture the communities we live, work, and grow in.

This year’s theme is β€œCommunity”, and at Shali Wellbeing CIC, this feels especially close to our hearts πŸ’š. As a community interest company, our mission has always been to create inclusive spaces where people can experience the benefits of meditation πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ, Tai Chi πŸ•ŠοΈ, and holistic wellbeing 🌸 β€” together.

We are also delighted to share that, thanks to the generous support of Alcester Town Council through a Community Grant πŸ™, we will soon be able to offer community groups meditation courses 🧘, providing local people with an accessible way to support their mental wellbeing, find calm, and connect with others 🀝.

Alongside this, Ali is already running Tai Chi classes πŸ•ŠοΈ within the community, which are steadily gaining momentum and bringing people together to experience the many benefits of gentle movement and mindful connection.

✨ Community is more than just where we live; it’s how we feel when we are part of something that matters, when we feel connected, included, and supported. ✨

In our work with local groups, schools, and workplaces 🏫, we see how powerful it is when people come together to support each other’s mental wellbeing πŸ’¬. Whether through Tai Chi, meditation, or simply pausing together for a mindful moment πŸŒ…, these shared experiences remind us that we are not alone β€” and that together, we are stronger πŸ’ͺ.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we invite you to reflect:

πŸ’ Where do you feel most connected?
πŸ’ Who in your community might need a little extra support?
πŸ’ How can we create spaces where everyone feels they belong?

At Shali Wellbeing, we are committed to continuing to build accessible and inclusive wellbeing opportunities 🌿 for our community.

If you are part of a group, organisation, or community who would benefit from meditation πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ or Tai Chi πŸ•ŠοΈ sessions, we would love to hear from you πŸ“©.

Together, we can keep building communities where mental health and wellbeing are supported every day, not just during this week 🌼.
